Psalm 37:9

"For evildoers shall be cut off, But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth."

Evildoers – do harm, hurt or mischief, be wicked
Cut Off – destroyed, consumed
Wait – bind together, expect, look for
Inherit – occupy, possess, enjoy
Earth – firm, ground, nations, world

Those who do not have a relationship with God are capable of anything.
The nature of man is worldly and wants only to satisfy his flesh. Man’s
motto could be ‘if it feels good, do it’ or ‘looking out for number one’.
We are all sinners until we accept God’s free gift of salvation.

"The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life". Rom 6:23

If a person refuses to accept God’s free gift, he is probably an evildoer,
causing hurt and harm and just being wicked. They often appear to really
be enjoying life but in the end they will be cut off from God for all eternity.

But those who have accepted Christ have a blessed hope. We who are
bound together with Christ are looking for Him, expecting Him. Yes, when
He returns to this earth to come and claim His bride but also in our everyday
lives. We can find Him in the beauty of nature. We can marvel at His
creating rainbows in soap bubbles when we are washing dishes. We can see
His loving ways when we see a mama cat or dog gently washing their young.
We can feel His protection when we have a very near miss that could have
been a fatal accident. He is there holding and comforting us when those painful
times in our lives happen. We know He is near when we can sleep through a
storm. Our LORD is ever there providing for us, protecting us and preparing us.

One day there will be a new heaven and a new earth. We will enjoy our new
Eternal home with the LORD. We are joint-heirs with Christ and we cannot
even begin to imagine the riches in Glory that will be ours.
