³² The wicked watches the righteous,
And seeks to slay him.
³³ The Lord will not leave him in his hand,
Nor condemn him when he is judged.

Wicked - condemned, guilty, ungodly, 

Righteous - just, lawful

Leave - fail, forsake

The wicked watch the righteous ... - Have his eyes on him, seeking an opportunity to slay him.  The sense is that the wicked are the enemies of the righteous and seek to do them wrong. It is a characteristic of the wicked that they seek to destroy the righteous. If not physically then destroy reputations. The wicked were doing this to the prophets; to the case of the apostles; and to the Saviour; and it has been so widespread in the deaths of martyrs, and all the persecutions which the Church has suffered. Today in America good is called evil and evil is called good. People who speak God's truth are called Haters. Christians have to remain strong and courageous! God has not changed, His Word is the same as Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
