Psalm 37:23 & 24

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down,
For the LORD upholds him with His hand."

I'm thinking of an old hymn we used to sing, 'Footsteps of
Jesus'.  "I will follow the steps of Jesus where'ere I go".
When we align ourselves with the Word of God and have
Christ as our example, we will walk in the way that the LORD
desires for us.  Nothing pleases the LORD more than having
obedient children.  "To obey is better than sacrifice".

Lately, I have fallen twice while taking my hikes in the woods.
Both times my feet just slipped out from under me.  I was on
the right path, wearing my boots, going the right way, but I
fell.  Things do happen in this world for no reason that we can see.
The good thing is both times I had helping hands to lift me up.

If we stumble in our Christian walk, we have His promise that He
will never leave us or forsake us.  He will help us up with His
own hand!
