You Must Be Born Again
Are You?
Jesus said to Nicodemus, a Jewish leader.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, ”Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Its almost like we must start over, I think Jesus was saying 'You must become a new person'( 2 Cor.5:17 )
Sin has separated us from God.
Rom.3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
But God is merciful, He has a plan for you and me.
John 3:16 ”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 ”For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Our sin has to be punished. Jesus took our punishment. Though He had no sin He took our sin punishment.
Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This free GIFT cost God His son, (Jesus, His only Son) He loves us.
Salvation is a gift, we can not earn it, nor apart from God's grace do we deserve it.
Rom.10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Jesus, born of a virgin, had no sin of His own, gave His life for us. The Father raised Him and now HE LIVES!
Right now, turn away (repent) from unbelief, be willing to turn from sin by turning to Jesus. Ask Him to forgive you and to save you. By FAITH accept Jesus into your heart. Now confess Him before people. Jesus is Lord.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
Ephesians 2:5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Ephesians 2:7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
(Scripture is from The Holy Bible, New King James Version, (Nashville, Tennessee: Thomas Nelson, Inc.) 1982.)
Some people don't feel saved, they might not feel 'Born Again' but we live by faith.
2 Cor.5:17 gives the outward evidence of salvation that comforts our minds and hearts. What I am saying is our attitudes and desires would be changed because we have been born again.
A preacher once said, "his want to's changed, he had new attitudes and desires"
It is important that you now get into a Bible believing Church. Although baptism does not save you, it is very important for all believers to be water baptized.
I have noticed for me, the more I know of Jesus, the more I love Jesus. My knowledge of Jesus comes from reading and studying His Word, Prayer, obedience to His commands and fellowshiping with other like minded Christians.
